 Shay Mitchell takes the 2012 cover of Seventeen Prom.

On her prom dress: “For my prom I really wanted to wear a bright color — something that was going to pop and stand out. [You have to think about] how you are going to shine in your photo and how you’re going to look different."

On her prom splurge: "I bought nice, crystal shoes — you have to get something that makes you really excited. It doesn't have to be expensive, but I really did feel like a princess putting my shoes on!"
